On February 12, 2025, the air was electric with laughter, the scent of sumptuous delicacies, and the warmth of camaraderie as Lourdes College once again came alive for its annual Foundation Day fiesta dubbed “Pista Sa Nayon”, in honor of Our Lady of Lourdes. It was more than just an event; it was a celebration woven from the very threads of faith, tradition, and the indomitable Filipino spirit.
As the sun cast golden hues over the campus, students and faculty gathered in joyful anticipation. The day began with a solemn tribute to Our Lady of Lourdes, a moment of reflection that set the tone for the festivities. Prayers lifted, hearts swelled with gratitude, and an overwhelming sense of unity bound the community together in devotion.
Then, like a symphony building to its crescendo, the campus burst into a vibrant showcase of life. Lively performances animated the venue, music intermingled with excited chatter, and the aroma of classic fiesta dishes drifted through the air. Tables laden with food became the centerpiece of shared joy, as friends and classmates partook in the feast, exchanging stories and laughter between bites of delicacies lovingly prepared for the occasion.
The Business Education Program, alongside other organizing groups, played a vital role in curating the day’s success. Their efforts ensured a seamless celebration, where every detail, from the decorations to the program flow, reflected the dedication and teamwork that define the school’s commitment to holistic education.
This yearly gathering is more than a mere tradition; it is a testament to the enduring faith and communal spirit that defines Lourdes College. As the echoes of laughter fade and the last remnants of the feast are cleared, what remains is the lingering warmth of togetherness and the promise of another vibrant celebration in the years to come.
